Photo sharing apps for your event, compared honestly
There are plenty of apps for collecting your guests’ photos, and they are not all built for the same thing. Here we put Snap-e next to the best-known alternatives. We also say where another app is the better choice, so you pick what fits your event.
What we compare on
Guests without an app: do your guests have to install anything, or does it all work in the browser? And what does joining ask of them?
Live photo wall: can you show the photos on a screen, TV or projector during the party, and on how many screens at once?
Moderation: can you stop inappropriate photos before everyone sees them?
Downloads and quality: do you get everything back in one go, in full quality and without a watermark?
How long your gallery stays online: a few weeks or more than a year? The differences are large.
Privacy and company: who is behind it, in which country, and what does their privacy policy say?
Languages: which languages does it work in, for you and for your guests?
Event types: is it only for weddings, or also for a birthday, a party or a company event?
Frequently asked questions
Isn’t a comparison by Snap-e biased?
Snap-e is our own product, so read critically. That is why every fact about another app comes from that company’s own website, why we state the date we checked it and the sources, and why every page names where the other app is the better choice.
Why are there no prices for other apps?
Prices, plans and promotions change often, and an outdated price does not help you. Always check current prices on the app’s own website. Snap-e’s packages are on our pricing page.
Which app is best for collecting guests’ photos?
It depends on your event. If you want one tool for photos, guestbook, RSVP and seating, or to keep your gallery online for a year or more, other apps are stronger. If you want guests to join without an app, a live photo wall on up to three screens and moderation before photos go public, in English, Dutch or French, Snap-e fits.
